Pasadena weekend: What to do May 23-25

Start shopping at the Arroyo Food Co-op, give your own sustainability a boost  at the Repair Yourself Café, walk a Pasadena neighborhood.

The Arroyo Food Co-op will officially launch its pre-order program at an all-member meeting on Saturday. Expect a presentation of the program, product tasting and a raffle as well as updates on the results of this week's elections to the board of directors, news about the next steps in the future of the co-op and information on volunteer opportunities.

Repair Yourself Café at the Armory on Saturday offers healing services including yoga, Reiki, meditation, art therapy. This is a coproduction of the Armory Center for the Arts, the Arroyo S.E.C.O. Network of Time Banks and Transition Pasadena, time dollars will be accepted. Free child care will be available.

Nature Tails. On Saturday morning, the Eaton Canyon Nature Center hosts its weekly Nature Tails story hour for children age 3-5. Expect stories, puppet shows and nature walks.

Walking tour. On Saturday, Pasadena Heritage is offering a docent-led walking tour of the Ninita Parkway/Rose Villa historic neighborhood with descriptions of single-family residences in Period Revival styles.

Gardening with others. Transition Pasadena's Throop Learning Garden meets on Sunday.
